Getafe vs Mallorca prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-12-20 13:00.
[p]So far in December, Getafe have played all of their three league games in their home city of Madrid and they end their fixtures for 2024 once again in the capital city as they host Mallorca on Saturday. The Deep Blue Ones have already been beaten 2-0 at the Bernabéu and 1-0 at the Metropolitano Stadium this month, but return to the Estadio Coliseum where they have conceded only four times in La Liga this season, the best home record of any side.[/p]
[p]With defensive numbers like that, it is hardly surprising that JosĂ© BordalĂĄsâ side have only lost once at home in this campaign (W3, D5) and they will be targeting a third successive victory âto nilâ in front of their fans in this game. Getafe also have a very strong record in this H2H fixture, going unbeaten from 2012/13 – 2022/23 (W4, D1), although they did suffer a 1-2 reverse when the teams met on the final weekend of last season.[/p]
[p]That victory for Mallorca was a surprise as it was only their second on the road in the league last season, but they have been far stronger on their travels this time around, already winning four of their eight away matches (L4). All in all, it has been an excellent first half of the season for the Pirates who finished in 15th place last May but begin this round of fixtures in a European spot.[/p]
[p]It was 2004 when Mallorca last played in Europe and more performances like last Saturdayâs, when they played with ten men for nearly an hour and still beat Girona 2-1, will only serve to increase the chances of a return after two decades! Nothing is ever decided in December, but if Jagoba Arrasateâs side can extend their unbeaten H2H record against Getafe to four matches this weekend (W2, D1), they will take another stride towards making 2025 a potentially exciting year for the club.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: David Soria has kept clean sheets in four of his eight H2Hs with Mallorca (W4, D2, L2) and is targeting his third successive home shutout in this fixture. Dani RodrĂguez has scored three times this season, all in away games, but he is yet to find the back of the net at the Estadio Coliseum from four visits.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Mallorca have conceded first in six of their last seven games (W2, L4).[/p]
