Augsburg Stuttgart prediction 2025-01-12

Augsburg vs Stuttgart prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-01-11 16:30.
[p]Augsburg were probably glad to see the back of 2024 after finishing it with a three-match winless run in the Bundesliga (D1, L2) with their thumping 5-1 defeat to Holstein Kiel an unpleasant way to enter the winter break. It was the first time since 2008 that a team had conceded five goals against a promoted side, leaving them plenty to dwell on over the festive period.[/p]

[p]Jess Thorup’s side need things to change having won just one of their last seven league fixtures (D3, L3). If that sort of form continues, they’ll slide even closer to the relegation zone, so they’ll be pinning their hopes on home comforts getting them out of trouble as they’ve only lost one of their last five Bundesliga games here (W3, D1). [/p]

[p]Like their hosts, Stuttgart lost their final game of 2024 to a promoted side (1-0 v St Pauli) so could be on the backfoot here. Their league position is a little more positive though, as they went into the winter break just below the top half so may fancy their chances of starting 2025 in upbeat fashion as they’re unbeaten across the last five H2Hs (W4, D1) including doing the double last term without conceding. [/p]

[p]They’ve never won back-to-back Bundesliga away H2Hs but are in decent form having lost only one of their last six Bundesliga road games (W2, D3) with five of those six fixtures producing exactly four goals! Goals at either end wouldn’t come as a surprise as the Reds have only kept one Bundesliga clean sheet on the road this term (W2, D3, L2).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Augsburg forward Samuel Essende has three goal contributions across his last four appearances (G2, A1), with all six of his strikes in all competitions this term arriving after the 30th minute. After netting in two of Stuttgart’s last three games, Enzo Millot has scored  four of his last five goals in all competitions before half-time.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Prior to the league resuming, Stuttgart have conceded a joint-league low one Bundesliga goal this term before the 15th minute, whereas Augsburg have conceded nine.[/p]
