Stuttgart RB Leipzig prediction 2025-01-15

Stuttgart vs RB Leipzig prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-01-14 19:30.
[p]It was always going to be tough for Stuttgart to live up to the highs of last season, when they achieved their highest Bundesliga finish since 2006/07. However, the Reds – runners-up in 2023/24 – appear to have finally adjusted to juggling domestic duties with a first European campaign in over a decade, after winning three of their last four top flight fixtures (L1).[/p]

[p]The most recent of those was a 1-0 victory over Augsburg on Sunday, which leaves Sebastian Hoeneß’s side within striking distance of a place in the top six. It was also a third clean sheet in eight Bundesliga fixtures (W4, D2, L2), which highlights how much tighter the Stuttgart defence has become since the back end of October, given they conceded 16 times and failed to achieve a single shutout in their opening eight league matches this season.[/p]

[p]That recent record will be sternly tested by opponents RB Leipzig, who have lost just one of the dozen previous H2Hs (W9, D2), albeit that defeat was a 5-2 reversal in the corresponding fixture last season. Visiting supporters might expect to deliver a response to that result, given they returned from the winter break by dishing out a 4-2 hammering Werder Bremen on Sunday.[/p]

[p]That was an important success for under pressure manager Marco Rose, whose side had only won two of their previous seven outings in the top flight (D1, L4). Three of those loses have come away from home, conceding a whopping 11 goals in the process, and as such, a Leipzig side who have been ever-present in the UEFA Champions League qualification places over the last six seasons, are currently clinging on to a place in the top four.[/p]

[p]Key battle: Stuttgart goalkeeper Alexander Nübel has failed to keep a clean sheet in his last five H2Hs (W2, L3), conceding five goals in two of those appearances. Looking to extend that record will be RB Leipzig forward Xavi Simons, who bagged a brace on his return from a near three-month injury layoff at the weekend to extend his record to just one defeat from the 31 games in which he has scored (W26, D4).[/p]

[p]Hot stat: There have been 3+ goals in ten of RB Leipzig’s last 13 games across all competitions.[/p]
