Newcastle Bournemouth prediction 2025-01-18

Newcastle vs Bournemouth prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2025-01-17 12:30.
[p]Newcastle have been quietly going about their business in the Premier League and have snuck into the top four thanks to an impressive six successive league wins. Couple that with the fact they’re also on the brink of reaching the Carabao Cup final, and things are rosy for Eddie Howe’s men, whose 3-0 midweek win against Wolves secured their ninth successive win in all competitions, equalling a club-record. [/p]

[p]They’ll undoubtedly be eyeing up the outright record against Bournemouth, and three successive home league wins ‘to nil’ by a 3+ goal margin suggest they could secure it in style. H2H history isn’t quite on their side in search of an outright record though, as they’re winless across the last five league meetings (D4, L1) and have never kept a clean sheet against the Cherries in six Premier League games at St James’ Park.[/p]

[p]This is arguably a meeting between the two most in-form teams in the league, as Bournemouth make the long journey north with a proud record of their own. Andoni Iraola’s men are unbeaten in ten games in all competitions (W6, D4), and they’ll feel that record should be even heavier weighted towards the win column after a stoppage-time Chelsea equaliser denied them all three points at Stamford Bridge in midweek (2-2).[/p]

[p]Nine of those unbeaten games came in the Premier League and is a club-record at this level (W5, D4), and scoring 2+ goals in their last six top-flight away games would hint that attack is their best form of defence. That rings especially true when considering that four of those six games saw them also concede at least twice, and only one historical H2H clean sheet away at Newcastle hints they could struggle defensively again here. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Newcastle’s Alexander Isak has scored in eight successive Premier League games as he closes in on Jamie Vardy’s record of 11, while Antoine Semenyo was on target in midweek for Bournemouth, with each of his four away goals this season arriving after the break. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: 14 of the 18 away league goals Bournemouth conceded this season have come before the hour mark.[/p]
