Fiorentina Torino prediction 2025-01-19

Fiorentina vs Torino prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-01-18 11:30.
[p]Despite Fiorentina losing 2-1 to Monza on Monday to record their fourth defeat in five Serie A games (D1), head coach Raffaele Palladino asserted there’s “no need to be alarmed” by their dip in form. Questions are emerging in regards to his immediate future at the club, but a run of eight consecutive league wins in completed matches immediately prior to this poor sequence means the Viola are still within striking distance of the top five.[/p]

[p]Confidence of regaining their best form perhaps stems from their defensive record (GA 20), which is still amongst the best in the division. Fiorentina need to overturn a two-game losing run at the Stadio Artemio Franchi to retain their proud record of having not lost three top-flight home games on the bounce since February 2005, and confidence should be high that they’ll avoid unwanted history against a Torino side they’ve defeated in four of the last five home league H2Hs (L1).[/p]

[p]Torino are coming off a 1-1 stalemate with Juventus last Saturday for their third consecutive draw. Coach Paolo Vanoli saw red in that game and he felt they “could have made history with a bit of luck”, but he instead had to settle with his side staying in the bottom half. Torino will be keen to arrest the worrying slide that has seen them win just one of their last 11 games (D5, L5), although that would need them to post their first H2H league win since January 2023 (D2, L2).[/p]

[p]Being on the road could perhaps take some pressure off, as the visitors arrive here unbeaten across their last three away games (W1, D2). The last trip even saw them come back from a two-goal deficit, which was just their fifth point on the road in league matches they conceded first this season (W1, D2, L8).[/p]

[p]Key battle: Riccardo Sottil could look to make an early impact as he scored Fiorentina’s first goal with four of his last six strikes at this venue, with three coming within the first 20 minutes. Vanja Milinković-Savić will hope to nullify his impact, but he’s conceded exactly once in three of his last four personal Serie A H2Hs.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Fiorentina are the only Serie A side yet to concede beyond the 70th minute in this campaign (agg. 10-0).[/p]
