B. Monchengladbach vs Bochum prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-01-24 17:30.
[p]Starting the round just four points shy of the top six and ten points clear of the bottom three, Borussia Mönchengladbach should be focusing on looking up rather than down. Yet their form since returning from the winter break has been that of a relegation contender, as theyâve lost all three league games, most recently going down 3-1 against Bayer Leverkusen last weekend. [/p]
[p]Itâs the first time since 2014 theyâve opened up a new calendar year with three successive defeats, and on that occasion they drew their fourth game. A draw wouldnât be viewed as a good result here against bottom-of-the-table Bochum, against whom theyâve won their last four Bundesliga H2Hs, while five wins from their last seven home league games this season (D1, L1) suggests a first win of 2025 could be on the cards. [/p]
[p]Thatâs certainly a possibility against Bochum who, on paper, would be the ideal opponent for anyone in the Bundesliga right now. They may not be quite the pushover their league position would suggest though, as theyâve actually only lost one of their last five league games (W2, D2), which includes a spirited fightback against Leipzig last weekend, where they overthrew a 3-0 deficit to claim a point! [/p]
[p]The main problem for Bochum is that history is firmly against them, with the last nine sides to be footing up the Bundesliga after 18 rounds going on to be relegated. Bochum could take the first step on the road to breaking that mold here considering boss Dieter Hecking has won six of his last nine personal managerial H2Hs, although his last two visits to Gladbach did end in defeat âto nilâ. [/p]
[p]Players to watch: Liking to strike late, Gladbachâs Tim Kleindienst has scored 17 of his last 19 club goals in the second half. Last weekend saw Myron Boadu become the first Bochum player since Stanislav Sestak in April 2009 to score a Bundesliga hat-trick – 15 of his last 16 club goals arrived after half-time. [/p]
[p]Hot stat: Six of Gladbachâs last seven Bundesliga games saw the designated away side score exactly once. [/p]
