Brest PSG prediction 2025-02-01

Brest vs PSG prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-01-31 16:00.
[p]Brest may have lost 3-0 to Real Madrid on Wednesday, but that didn’t take the shine off the club’s progression to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) at the first time of asking. Éric Roy’s men will keep mixing it with Europe’s elite when they return to domestic action this weekend however, as Ligue 1 leaders and reigning champions PSG arrive at Stade Francis-Le Blé.[/p]

[p]The UCL has regularly proved to be a much-needed distraction for Brest after a frustrating start to the league campaign, but the Pirates are on the up having won their last three Ligue 1 games. They begin the round in the top-eight as a result, but a fourth successive win hinges on beating PSG for the first time in 40 years, having failed to win any of the last 29 H2Hs (D8, L21). [/p]

[p]PSG also sailed through in the UCL after routing Stuttgart 4-1 in midweek, stretching their unbeaten run in all competitions to 13 matches in the process (W10, D3). It is in Ligue 1 where Luis Enrique’s men have truly excelled this campaign, sitting ten points clear at the top having avoided defeat in all 19 of their league matches (W14, D5).[/p]

[p]If PSG do have a weakness, it is their inability to keep clean sheets, something they have failed to do in their last five away games (W5). That area of struggle doesn’t often have too much impact however, as their free-scoring forward line has earned them victory from a losing position three times already in 2025.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Romain Del Castillo could be in line for a start here given that he’s twice previously scored against PSG, including one in September’s reverse fixture (L 3-1). He may face PSG midfielder João Neves, who has directly contributed to a goal in each of his last three appearances (G1, A2) and has never lost when finding the net in his first-team career to date (W6, D1). [/p]

[p]Hot stat: None of Brest’s last 18 matches ended level (W10, L8).[/p]
