Bochum Freiburg prediction 2025-02-01

Bochum vs Freiburg prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-01-31 14:30.
[p]After a rare two-match unbeaten league run (W1, D1), Bochum slumped to defeat once again last weekend to remain rooted to the foot of the table on a meagre ten points – their worst ever return at this stage of a Bundesliga season. Putting that woeful start into perspective, only one side in Bundesliga history has ever managed to stay afloat with so few points after 19 games, Mainz in 2020/21. [/p]

[p]Emulating that escape will rely on Bochum continuing their current home form, which has seen them put together their joint-longest such unbeaten run in the top-flight since last February (W2, D1). Continuing that is by no means guaranteed against Freiburg, a side Bochum have lost each of the last six Bundesliga H2Hs against – their longest ongoing losing streak against any side currently in the top-flight![/p]

[p]Currently sitting in the mid-table abyss after three straight league defeats, but still not too far away from launching an assault on the European places, Freiburg haven’t picked up fewer than their current 27 point haul at this stage since 2018/19. Their lull in the post-Streich season was perhaps expected, although Julian Schuster may not be too disheartened about their recent downturn given that their three successive defeats all came against sides beginning the round inside the top-four.[/p]

[p]Playing away has been the biggest roadblock to Freiburg’s success this season, as they travel here having picked up less than a third of their total points away from home (8/27). That includes failures to beat three of the four sides who begin this round beneath them pre-round (W1, D2, L1), with just one of those encounters seeing both sides find the net. [/p]

[p]Key battle: Myron Boadu scored his first Bundesliga hat-trick in Bochum’s last home game against Leipzig (D 3-3), although the Dutchman is yet to win when scoring for his current club (D1, L2). Matthias Ginter scored his 22nd Bundesliga goal last time out for Freiburg, and could prove to be his side’s lucky charm as he has a perfect personal record against Bochum (W7). [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Freiburg (23) and Bochum (24) have conceded the most second-half Bundesliga goals so far this season. [/p]
