Atl. Madrid vs Getafe prediction: SPAIN: Copa del Rey betting tips on match 2025-02-03 20:30.
[p]Diego Simeone must be having the time of his life as Atlético Madrid manager, with his side having lost just one of their last 20 games in all competitions (W18, D1). The latest result in that streak was a 2-0 victory over Mallorca at the weekend which saw Atleti close the gap to city rivals and La Liga leaders Real Madrid to one point ahead of a Copa del Rey quarter-final clash with Getafe. [/p]
[p]Atleti have been almost perfect in a competition that they’ve won ten times previously, winning their four such games this season while conceding just once overall, albeit having faced lower-league opposition on all those occasions. They may have fond memories of Getafe too, having beaten them over two legs the only time they’ve faced each other before in the Copa del Rey on the way to lifting the trophy in 2012/13![/p]
[p]Getafe have hit something of a purple patch themselves though, going unbeaten in their last six outings in all competitions while keeping four clean sheets (W4, D2). They’ll have to go some way to preserving that record here however, having not defeated Atleti since 2011/12 (D5, L21)! [/p]
[p]In fact, of all the sides currently in the Spanish top-flight, they only have a worse win percentage against Barcelona (8.7%) than they do versus Atleti (9.3%: W4, D10, L29). Confidence might not be high this time round either, having been beaten 1-0 at the Estadio Metropolitano 1-0 shortly before Christmas, although that serves as their only loss on their travels from their last six encounters (W5). [/p]
[p]Players to watch: Samuel Lino has scored two goals across his last three games – as many as he had netted in his previous 33 appearances for AtlĂ©tico. Christantus Uche struck in Getafe’s last away outing, a 3-0 victory over Real Sociedad, with each of his five goal contributions this season coming on the road (G2, A3). [/p]
[p]Hot stat: Atleti have a better win percentage against Getafe than against any other current Spanish top-flight side (67.4%)![/p]
