Freiburg vs Heidenheim prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-02-07 14:30.
[p]Freiburg ended a three-game losing run last Saturday, winning 1-0 at bottom-of-the-table Bochum to revive their chances of qualifying for Europe. Going into this weekend sitting ninth in the Bundesliga, Julian Schuster’s men now have the opportunity to earn back-to-back victories for the first time since mid-October by beating another relegation candidate, Heidenheim. [/p]
[p]The overall H2H record is on Freiburg’s side (W3, D1, L1), while this season’s reverse fixture saw them take the spoils quite comfortably (3-0). After a 2-1 loss against league leaders Bayern Munich late last month though, the Breisgau Brazilians are in danger of suffering successive home defeats for the first time since last April. [/p]
[p]Heidenheim occupy the Bundesliga’s relegation play-off place after matchday 20 having lost their last three games – conceding twice on each occasion – while heading into this weekend, only second-from-bottom Holstein Kiel and Bochum have a worse defensive record away from home in the division this season. [/p]
[p]A UEFA Conference League knockout-phase play-off tie against Copenhagen offers Frank Schmidt’s side some respite in February, but before then, Heidenheim will be looking to secure a first Bundesliga away win since late September (2-0 at Mainz). That was also the last time they kept a clean sheet on the road in the competition, losing six of the following seven such games (D1). [/p]
[p]Players to watch: Kiliann Sildillia scored just his second-ever goal for Freiburg’s first team last weekend at Bochum, but in his senior club career, he has never been on the losing side when finding the net (W6, D4). Mathias Honsak returned from injury to get Heidenheim’s consolation against Borussia Dortmund last Saturday (L 2-1), but in contrast to Sildillia, his last four goals have all come in defeats. [/p]
[p]Hot stat: Heidenheim have conceded at least once after the hour mark in 12 of their last 14 matches in all competitions. [/p]
