Empoli vs AC Milan prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-02-07 17:00.
[p]After starting the Serie A campaign by going six games unbeaten (W2, D4), Empoli have only picked up two league wins since, and are now winless in their last eight such matches (D2, L6). As a result, the Azzurri begin the round just one point above the relegation zone, and things look unlikely to improve here as they face AC Milan, a side they’ve not beaten at home since January 1986[/p]
[p]Empoli have shown they can at least compete with sides of similar quality to Milan in recent weeks, taking the lead against both Juventus and Bologna before succumbing to comebacks (D1, L1). Those results do mean they’re still to beat a side starting the round in the top-eight this term (D4, L7), with one of those defeats coming in the reverse fixture (3-0) making up a miserable return of one win from the last 16 H2Hs (D5, L10). [/p]
[p]Milan saw a memorable derby win over Inter Milan slip through their fingers on Sunday, conceding in the 93rd minute as they were held to a fourth draw in their last eight Serie A matches  (W3, L1). While Sérgio Conceição’s men remain tough to beat and have since bounced back with a Coppa Italia victory over Roma in midweek, such inconsistency in the win column leaves them with ground to make up to the European places.[/p]
[p]Worryingly then, the Rossoneri have lost their last two away games in all competitions and are facing the prospect of three consecutive defeats on the road for the first time since May 2015. The travelling faithful will expect to avoid that unwanted piece of history given that they’ve seen their side keep four consecutive clean sheets against Empoli in the league – one more would match their all-time record achieved against Pisa between 1988 and 1991.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Mattia De Sciglio played more games for Milan than he has for any club in his career (133), but has shown he can haunt his former sides when scoring against parent club Juventus last weekend for his first goal in three years. João Félix scored on his Milan debut in midweek, but he’s not scored in successive appearances since November 2023.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Eight of Milan’s last nine away games have seen them pick up the first yellow card. [/p]
