Celta Vigo Osasuna prediction 2025-02-21

Celta Vigo vs Osasuna prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2025-02-20 20:00.
[p]After a worrying start to the calendar year saw them claim just a single point in four La Liga matches, Celta Vigo have recovered with a pair of positive results. The first came in an epic 3-2 come-from-behind win over Betis at home, before a 1-1 draw with title contenders Atlético Madrid helped keep them six points clear of the relegation zone.[/p]

[p]Room for improvement certainly remains for Claudio Giráldez’s men, who have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last eight matches across all competitions (W2, D2, L4). A shutout doesn’t appear necessary on home soil at least, as Celta have won three of their last four La Liga games at Estadio de BalaĂdos (L1), helping them earn 23 of their 29 points there this season – only the current top-four have managed more as hosts this term.[/p]

[p]Hoping to spoil the party will be Osasuna, who sit three points above their hosts despite winning just one of their last five league outings (D4). Those four stalemates have remarkably all ended 1-1, taking their draw tally to a league-high 11 for the season, the most recent of which came in controversial fashion against Real Madrid, who were reduced to ten men early on.[/p]

[p]Two of those four recent draws occurred on the road, leaving Los Rojillos winless in their last six away league fixtures (D4, L2). Breaking that streak with victory here would be historic for Vicente Moreno and his troops, as due to their 3-2 win over Celta in the reverse fixture, they now have the opportunity to record a H2H league double against Celta for the first time since 1963/64![/p]

[p]Key battle: Celta will be looking to Williot Swedberg to have an impact as his last five league goals have been scored at home, with the most recent four coming after half-time. Midfield rival Lucas Torró’s last two Osasuna goals were match openers inside the first 25 minutes.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Celta have won seven of their eight La Liga home matches this season as the betting favourite (D1).[/p]
