Angers Reims prediction 2025-02-25

Angers vs Reims prediction: FRANCE: Coupe de France betting tips on match 2025-02-24 20:00.
[p]The only all-Ligue 1 tie in this season’s Coupe de France quarter-finals will be the second clash between Angers and Reims in just ten days. Tuesday evening’s hosts Angers were 1-0 winners on the road in the pair’s league meeting earlier this month, bringing an end to a run of four H2Hs without victory (D1, L3), and consequently they have won seven of their last 11 games across all competitions this season (D2, L2).[/p]

[p]Promoted at the end of last season, the Black and Whites have won all three of their ties in the Coupe de France so far this season away from home. Now, the task for Alexandre Dujeux’s side is to repeat the feat on home soil at the Stade Raymond-Kopa, and doing so would mean they reach the last four of the competition for the first time since their run to the final in the 2016/2017 campaign.[/p]

[p]Reims are two-time winners of the Coupe de France, but have waited much longer for any level of success in the competition, last reaching the semi-finals back in 1988! Their penalty shootout victory against fifth-tier outfit Bourgoin-Jallieu in the last round remains new head coach Samba Diawara’s only win (L3), though he can now enjoy some security having seen his appointment made permanent after a short stint as caretaker.[/p]

[p]Four games into his tenure, Diawara needs to steer them out of a goal drought after a frustrating 1-0 defeat at Rennes last weekend was their third in a row without scoring. Leaving them only three points above the Ligue 1 relegation zone, that loss also saw red cards for both Cédric Kipré and Hafiz Ibrahim and extended an abysmal run to 12 league games without a win (D5, L7), highlighting further how their cup success has provided much-needed relief this term.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Bamba Dieng marked his return from injury with a goal on Saturday, his fourth of the season for any club to have been scored beyond the opening hour. Across all competitions, five of Oumar Diakité’s seven bookings for Reims this term have come in the second half.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Three of Reims’ last four ties in the Coupe de France have gone to penalties.[/p]
