Ipswich vs Nottingham prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2025-03-14 15:00.
[p]With four of their next six Premier League fixtures coming against sides starting this round inside the top-six, Ipswich face a steep uphill battle to save themselves from relegation. The Tractor Boys are the only side in England’s top-four divisions without a league win in 2025 (D2, L7), with a 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace last week leaving Kieran McKenna’s men six points adrift of safety.[/p]
[p]Perhaps particularly frustrating for McKenna is that his side remain competitive, with three of their last four league losses coming via a one-goal margin. That will ultimately count for little if they are beaten again on home soil, where Ipswich have won just once in the league all season (D4, L9), but that win did come against Chelsea – a side who share a top-four place with upcoming visitors Nottingham Forest.[/p]
[p]Forest travel to Portman Road in a buoyant mood after beating defending champions Manchester City 1-0 last week, a result which tightened their grip on a UEFA Champions League qualification place. Miracle-working manager Nuno EspĂrito Santo will bring up 50 games in charge of Forest in the Premier League this weekend but he’ll have one eye on correcting an alarming slump on the road.[/p]
[p]The Tricky Trees have lost each of their last three Premier League away matches – more defeats than they suffered in their previous 13 such fixtures (W9, D2, L2). But on the bright side, they’ve already beaten Ipswich twice this season, including in an FA Cup tie on penalties earlier this month, and boast a ten-match unbeaten streak in the league against newly-promoted sides (W7, D3), winning each of the last six in a row.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Kalvin Phillips missed both of this season’s H2Hs, but is in line for a start here against a side he’s twice previously been sent off against, most recently being dismissed against Forest last season while he was on loan at West Ham! Three of Callum Hudson-Odoi’s five goals this term have been match openers, while he also netted the decisive penalty in the FA Cup shootout two weeks ago.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Nottingham Forest have led just three of their 14 Premier League away games at half-time (HT: D6, L5).[/p]
