Hoffenheim Augsburg prediction 2025-03-29

Hoffenheim vs Augsburg prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-03-28 14:30.
[p]Hoffenheim return from the international break hoping to put some more distance between themselves and the relegation zone, which stands at just six points pre-round. Die Kraichgauer have endured a miserable campaign considering they finished in the top seven last term, only amassing fewer than their six wins at this stage of a top-flight season twice before.[/p]

[p]The root cause of that underwhelming return has been dismal home form, with Christian Ilzer’s side failing to win any of their last seven league matches on their own turf (D4, L3) – the longest ongoing run in the division. A porous defence is mostly to blame, as Hoffenheim have now gone a remarkable 33 home Bundesliga matches without a clean sheet, the longest run by any side in competition history![/p]

[p]Visiting Augsburg appear primed to extend that run as they enjoy one of their strongest campaigns in recent years. They signed off before the international break by claiming back-to-back 1-0 victories over Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg which helped extend their unbeaten Bundesliga run to a club-record ten matches (W6, D4), which also stands as the longest active such run in the division.[/p]

[p]Jess Thorup’s men have most impressively kept six successive clean sheets – also a club record – with no side across Europe’s top five leagues conceding fewer than their three goals in 2025. European qualification ambitions are more than realistic for Augsburg as a result, who only previously achieved that feat in 2014/15, but history suggests they could come unstuck here, having won just six of the 27 Bundesliga H2Hs against Hoffenheim (D6, L15).[/p]

[p]Key battle: Gift Orban has scored four Bundesliga goals since joining Hoffenheim in the winter, each coming between the 60th and 75th minute. Augsburg goalkeeper Finn Dahmen will be looking to thwart him here and extend his streak without conceding, which is currently the 11th longest in Bundesliga history (613 minutes)! [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Augsburg are one of two teams yet to score in both halves of an away Bundesliga match this season. [/p]
