Wolfsburg Heidenheim prediction 2025-03-29

Wolfsburg vs Heidenheim prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-03-28 14:30.
[p]Wolfsburg found themselves in the top six of the Bundesliga in mid-January following a 5-1 thrashing of Borussia Mönchengladbach, but just two wins in their nine league games since then (D5, L2) have seen them slip to eighth heading into the season’s final stretch. Finishing in the top six would be quite the achievement for the Wolves, who haven’t done so since 2020/21 when they ended the season in fourth. [/p]

[p]History would suggest the visit of relegation-threatened Heidenheim should boost their European hopes as Wolfsburg have an unbeaten all-time record against their upcoming opponents (W5, D1). A five-match unbeaten home league run (W1, D4) should reinforce that belief, but with those four draws coming in succession, the Wolves are now staring down the barrel of five straight league stalemates at the Volkswagen Arena for the first time since November 2017.[/p]

[p]Heidenheim may still find themselves in the Bundesliga’s bottom two despite a 3-1 triumph over Holstein Kiel going into the international break, but that victory could prove to be pivotal in their season. That win ended a nine-game winless league run (D3, L6) to put Frank Schmidt’s men within one point of 16th-placed Bochum in the relegation play-off spot ahead of the weekend’s fixtures. [/p]

[p]Finding the root of Heidenheim’s issue isn’t too tricky, as they haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last ten league matches. Ending that run on the road will be difficult given you’d have to go all the way back to late September to find the last time that they secured an away league clean sheet, while their two previous visits to Wolfsburg in all competitions saw them lose twice, concede six goals and score only once![/p]

[p]Players to watch: Tiago Tomás came off the bench to net the game’s final goal in November’s reverse fixture – four of his five career Bundesliga home goals have arrived after half-time. Marvin Pieringer scored for Heidenheim when these sides met earlier this term, but in contrast to Tomás, three of his four away league goals this season arrived before the break. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: None of Heidenheim’s last 18 Bundesliga games have stood goalless at half-time. [/p]
