Lecce AS Roma prediction 2025-03-29

Lecce vs AS Roma prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-03-28 19:45.
[p]Relegation-threatened Lecce suffered a 2-1 defeat ahead of the international break against Genoa, which marked their fourth consecutive Serie A loss. The Salentini are the only league side without a single point across the last four rounds and their cushion to the relegation places had subsequently diminished to three points ahead of this round.[/p]

[p]The arrival of top-six contenders Roma could add more misery to Lecce’s worrying demise, as Lecce have lost 13 of their 15 league matches against teams starting this round in the top half of the table (D2). The two draws came at home to Bologna (0-0) and Juventus (1-1) whilst three of the six losses were accompanied by a hefty 4+ goal margin. There may be some hope as their last home loss, 3-2 against Milan, saw Lecce score in front of their own fans for the first time in five outings![/p]

[p]After they registered their sixth consecutive Serie A victory by beating Cagliari 1-0, Roma finished the last round just four points away from the top four. Such heights appeared almost impossible when Claudio Ranieri took over in November with the Giallorossi only four points above the relegation zone, but then came a spectacular start to 2025 in which they have picked up more points (29) than any other side in Europe’s top-five leagues.[/p]

[p]Roma will have to do without talisman Paulo Dybala for the remainder of the season after the Argentinian star opted for surgery to treat a tendon injury. That may not thwart them at Lecce though, as their current six-game winning streak in this competition includes a trio of 1-0 wins against Lecce’s fellow relegation contenders Venezia, Parma and Empoli.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: After converting a penalty against Genoa, Nikola Krstović has contributed directly to each of Lecce’s last six goals (G4, A2), with each of his last seven goalscoring appearances witnessing both teams score. Artem Dovbyk netted a winner against Cagliari and became only the third Roma player this century to score at least ten league goals in his debut Serie A season.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Only three Serie A teams had registered more than Roma’s nine wins without conceding ahead of this round.[/p]
