Real Sociedad Valladolid prediction 2025-03-29

Real Sociedad vs Valladolid prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2025-03-28 13:00.
[p]Not threatening at the top end or worried about being dragged in at the bottom, Real Sociedad’s recent performances marry up with that of a side loitering in mid-table. They return to La Liga action following the international break without a win in three league fixtures (D1, L2), although each contest in that run came against sides starting this round inside the top ten. [/p]

[p]Basement boys Real Valladolid are likely to be welcome opponents then, but a poor recent record of just one win in the past five H2Hs (D2, L2) for Sociedad does suggest this one might not be as straightforward as some expect. That’s especially true if manager Imanol Alguacil decides to rotate his side with one eye on the Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Madrid which comes three days after this clash. [/p]

[p]There might still be ten La Liga rounds to go, but Valladolid already look certain to be playing in the second tier next season. They sit 11 points from safety and without a win in any of their past nine league matches – eight of those ending in defeat – leaving them rooted to the foot of the table. The last 12 sides to sit bottom of La Liga after matchday 28 went on to be relegated. [/p]

[p]A league-low 18 goals all season hasn’t helped their cause, and you’d have to go back to October for the last time they managed more than one in a single contest. Valladolid have at least found the net in four of their past five La Liga road games, yet their equally inadequate defence means those games couldn’t prevent falling to a nine-match losing away league streak. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Mikel Oyarzabal was one of the stars of the show for Spain in their midweek shootout win over the Netherlands, scoring two of their three goals on the night, but Sociedad are winless in his two goalscoring appearances for them this month (D1, L1). Forward Juanmi Latasa returns from suspension here in what should be a big boost for Valladolid, given he scored in two successive matches before having to sit out against Celta. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: No La Liga teams have failed to score in more matches than Sociedad (13) and Valladolid (12) this term. [/p]
