Stuttgart RB Leipzig prediction 2025-04-02

Stuttgart vs RB Leipzig prediction: GERMANY: DFB Pokal betting tips on match 2025-04-01 18:45.
[p]After significantly underperforming during the first two-thirds of this Bundesliga campaign relative to their second-placed finish last season, Stuttgart returned from March’s international break in search of a confidence boost against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday. Instead, a ten-man Stuttgart fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat, so going all in on the DFB-Pokal this midweek is likely their last route to any form of serious success in 2024/25.[/p]

[p]In their semi-final bout on Wednesday, the Swabians face off against RB Leipzig, who they have beaten in each of their last two H2Hs. With both of those victories also coming at the MHPArena, a repeat here will be desperately desired by the home faithful, though their side will have to be at their very best in order to reach their first DFB-Pokal final since finishing as runners-up to Bayern Munich in 2012/13. [/p]

[p]RB Leipzig make the long trip south-west without a manager in the dugout, as after his side suffered defeat at Borussia Mönchengladbach over the weekend, Marco Rose was relieved of his duties by the club. The Red Bulls have moved quickly to install Zsolt Lőw as interim boss until the end of the campaign, and his objectives will be simple: to achieve UEFA Champions League qualification and to win the DFB-Pokal. [/p]

[p]Whether those ambitions are realistic remains to be seen, as Thomas Tuchel’s former assistant takes control of a side low on confidence given their return of just three victories from their last 11 competitive games (D5, L3). Most of their recent trouble has come away from home too, which is not ideal ahead of the journey to Baden-Württemberg, having now not won any of their last eight outings on the road (D4, L4), failing to score in the last five of those encounters! [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade has netted one goal in each of his three DFB-Pokal appearances this season, while he struck the winner in the last H2H in January. RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško scored the opener in that match and has also found the net in each of his three domestic cup outings this campaign! [/p]

[p]Hot stat: RB Leipzig have scored at least three goals in four of their last five DFB-Pokal away ties. [/p]
