AC Milan Fiorentina prediction 2025-04-05

AC Milan vs Fiorentina prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-04-04 18:45.
[p]A 2-1 defeat against title-challenging Napoli last round saw AC Milan’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) qualification hopes dealt another major blow, with the Rossoneri now entering this round with a nine-point deficit to the top four. Not since 2019/20 have AC Milan finished outside of the top four in Serie A, but they’ve got their work cut out to avoid that ignominy this season.[/p]

[p]The arrival of Fiorentina doesn’t promise anything for Milan, who have won just once this Serie A season against sides starting this round ahead of them in the table (D4, L7). Yet a strong recent home competitive record should inspire plenty of confidence, with Milan losing just one of their last 16 home matches (W8, D7), despite scoring more than once in only one of the last five as hosts.[/p]

[p]Back-to-back wins with accompanying clean sheets against Juventus and Atalanta have boosted Fiorentina’s European hopes, but they do still trail the UCL spots by five points coming into the round. Another win here could help them close that gap and secure a H2H league double for the first time since 2001, having won the reverse 2-1. [/p]

[p]That could be easier said than done as Fiorentina have won just once on the road against fellow current top-nine opposition (D1, L4), despite failing to score in just one of those six matches. They’ve also struggled on the road of late, with each of their last four away matches across all competitions ending in defeat. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Tammy Abraham scored his ninth competitive goal this season for Milan in midweek, with six arriving after the break. Fiorentina’s Moise Kean netted a first-half winner against Atalanta, with 11 of his 16 Serie A goals arriving before half-time [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Only Napoli have conceded fewer than Milan’s five second-half goals at home this Serie A season.[/p]
