Sevilla Atl. Madrid prediction 2025-04-06

Sevilla vs Atl. Madrid prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2025-04-05 14:15.
[p]After suffering the ignominy of a 2-1 defeat in the Seville derby despite opening the scoring, Sevilla now take on Atlético Madrid whilst attempting to avoid what would be a third straight league defeat. If they were to lose here, it would signal their worst losing run of the season and dent their hopes of securing their first top-half finish since 2021/22. [/p]

[p]The Andalusian club’s form at RamĂłn SĂĄnchez-PizjuĂĄn is certainly bottom-half material with Sevilla starting the round in 16th place of the ‘home standings’ (W5, D4, L5). They are now without a win in five straight league games on their own turf (D3, L2), their worst home run in this competition since an eight-game period that ended in February 2024 when they defeated AtlĂ©tico 1-0.[/p]

[p]That was AtlĂ©tico’s only defeat in the previous seven competitive meetings between the sides (W5, D1), so the longer-term H2H history is certainly in the visitors’ favour here. That might be Diego Simeone’s only source of inspiration after a disastrous six-game winless streak (D1, L5) across all competitions that has seen their hopes of a trophy all but extinguished. [/p]

[p]After briefly sitting at the top of the league in early March, AtlĂ©tico now find themselves a whopping nine points off the summit coming into the weekend and eliminated from both the Champions League and Copa del Rey after defeats to title rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid. Simeone’s side are also enduring their longest winless La Liga run since November 2022 and will need to end that immediately to sustain any remote chance of returning to the top.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Sevilla’s Isaac Romero struck in both of his two La Liga H2Hs and now has the chance to become only the third player to strike against AtlĂ©tico in each of his first three La Liga H2Hs this century. On the other hand, Alexander SĂžrloth is on the verge of registering three consecutive competitive appearances without a goal for the first time since December 2024. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Juventus (15) are the only side in the big five European leagues to have kept more clean sheets than Atlético (13).[/p]
