Reims Strasbourg prediction 2025-04-06

Reims vs Strasbourg prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-04-05 15:15.
[p]Reims secured a place in their first Coupe de France final since 1977 with a 2-1 away win at Cannes on Wednesday evening, and now turn their attention back to securing Ligue 1 survival this weekend. A 3-1 victory over Marseille last Saturday ended a run of 15 league matches without a win (D6, L9) and Samba Diawara’s side will now target a third successive victory across all competitions, something they last achieved over a year ago![/p]

[p]Beginning this round just two points above the promotion-relegation play-off spot, Reims still have plenty of work to do if they are to avoid relegation, particularly as they have kept just one clean sheet across their last 15 top-flight home games. They may therefore be pleased to see Strasbourg arrive on Sunday as the hosts have lost only one of their last 18 Ligue 1 home H2Hs (W11, D6).[/p]

[p]Despite that record in Reims, Strasbourg have lost just one of the last seven H2Hs overall (W2, D4) and are in far superior form, collecting 32 points out of a possible 39 (W10, D2, L1) since the teams played out a goalless draw in December. Only runaway leaders PSG had earned more Ligue 1 points (37) during that period, and as a result Liam Rosenior’s team started this round occupying the final European qualification place.[/p]

[p]Le Racing are looking for a fifth successive league victory and have won each of their last three away fixtures without conceding a goal. They have never previously secured four successive top-flight victories on the road in the same season and will also be targeting four straight clean sheets in away games during a single campaign for the very first time.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Mamadou Diakhon has starred for Reims of late with a goal and an assist against Marseille before setting up the opener against Cannes. Strasbourg’s Dilane Bakwa has either directly contributed to at least one goal or been booked in each of his last five appearances (G2, A3, YC2) for Le Racing.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Strasbourg have not scored a first-half goal in any of their last six matches despite winning five of them (D1).[/p]
