Valencia vs Sevilla prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2025-04-10 19:00.
[p]After winning five of their last six home league games (L1), 14th-placed Valencia can take another step towards maintaining their top-flight status when they host Sevilla on Friday evening. Carlos Corberán’s side are unbeaten anywhere across their last five fixtures (W3, D2), with three victories coming from their last four matches, culminating in a famous 2-1 win at the Bernabéu against Real Madrid last weekend. [/p]
[p]That victory means Valencia now sit six points above the final relegation place after a meteoric rise since Corberán took charge. The former West Brom boss inherited a side in the relegation zone, but only three defeats from his 13 La Liga games in charge (W6, D4, L3) have propelled them to the brink of safety. It’s worth noting too that all three of Valencia’s defeats under Corberán came against the current top three. [/p]
[p]Two points further up the table, but with only one win from their last six games (D2, L3), Sevilla travel to Valencia looking to halt a run of three successive defeats by a one-goal margin. The last two have both come after GarcĂa Pimienta’s side had led 1-0, so even a fast start is unlikely to settle any nerves.[/p]
[p]Away from home, Sevilla were unbeaten across five successive matches (W3, D2) before losing to Betis 2-1 on their last away outing and they will arrive in Valencia with a very strong recent away H2H record. They haven’t lost at the Mestalla on any of their last six visits (W2, D4), with their last defeat at the venue coming in October 2017, although only one of those six unbeaten games saw them net more than once.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: AndrĂ© Almeida has assisted the first goal of the game in both of Valencia’s last two matches and also provided the assist for the opener in their last H2H victory in August 2023. Chidera Ejuke’s last two goal contributions (G1, A1) came in away victories – his side have won on all three occasions when he has been involved in goals this season.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: The home side on the day has not won any of the last six H2H meetings (HOME: D4, L2).[/p]
