Strasbourg Nice prediction 2025-04-12

Strasbourg vs Nice prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-04-11 19:05.
[p]Having spent most of last season battling relegation, Strasbourg have flipped the script in 2024/25 and are homing in on the top three. They’ve won five successive league matches and now Le Racing could make it six in a row in the same season for just the second time – and the first since 1935 – should they get the better of fellow European hopefuls Nice.[/p]

[p]Liam Rosenior’s young squad have recent H2H demons to banish here having lost each of the last three meetings, so they’ll be grateful for home surroundings having avoided defeat in each of their last seven league outings on their own turf (W5, D2). Only runaway champions PSG have a longer active streak in the division, but Strasbourg will certainly come under threat here as they’ve managed just three wins from their 11 meetings with sides starting this round in the top eight (D3, L5).[/p]

[p]While Strasbourg are on an upward trajectory towards the UEFA Champions League, Nice’s own bid to sit at Europe’s top table has come unstuck in recent weeks. A shock 2-1 home defeat by strugglers Nantes extended the Eaglets’ winless run to four matches (D1, L3), with those three defeats as many as they had suffered in their previous 23 Ligue 1 fixtures (W13, D7)![/p]

[p]Nice could now lose three successive league matches for the first time in two years, and as four of their five Ligue 1 away defeats this term came against sides starting this round in the top seven, the omens are not good. A fast start would certainly help on that front, and Franck Haise’s men are well equipped having scored a league-high 60% of their goals before half-time.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: No Strasbourg player has more Ligue 1 assists than Dilane Bakwa (nine) this season, but he could be more of a goal threat here having scored in the last two H2Hs. Four of Hicham Boudaoui’s last five Nice goals came in away wins, the first three of which were match openers.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Strasbourg have kept six clean sheets in their last eight league matches – as many as in their prior 48.[/p]
