B. Monchengladbach Freiburg prediction 2025-04-12

B. Monchengladbach vs Freiburg prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-04-11 13:30.
[p]Borussia Mönchengladbach and Freiburg are separated by just two points in sixth and seventh place in the Bundesliga, with Gladbach currently occupying the UEFA Conference League play-off qualification spot. Whether the hosts will end the day still above their visitors must be in doubt as Gladbach have toiled in this fixture over recent years, failing to win any of the last seven H2Hs at any venue (D4, L3), while failing to score in the last three such meetings at their Borussia-Park home (D1, L2). [/p]

[p]When it comes to current form against all opponents, the picture is distinctly different for Gerardo Seoane’s men after taking seven points from their last three games, albeit they must have been somewhat frustrated not to make that nine after letting in a late equaliser at St. Pauli on Sunday (1-1). Gladbach did win their last home match against fellow high-fliers RB Leipzig, and are now targeting back-to-back victories on their own patch for the first time since November. [/p]

[p]While Gladbach are in decent form, Freiburg are experiencing a downturn. Having headed into March on cloud nine after four wins from four in February, Freiburg then drew three straight games before a pair of disappointing home defeats to Union Berlin and Borussia Dortmund – losing 4-1 to the latter. This run of results is undoubtedly the biggest test of Julian Schuster’s fledgling career in the dugout to date, with this his first-ever job as a head coach after being appointed as club legend Christian Streich’s successor last summer.  [/p]

[p]Perhaps Freiburg can find comfort then in the fact that they are enjoying a four-game unbeaten streak away from home (W2, D2), earning clean sheets in three of those matches. Despite that recent away form and their recent success against Gladbach, a positive result here isn’t guaranteed as the Breisgau Brazilians have never managed a seasonal Bundesliga double in this fixture. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Centre-back Kō Itakura has registered a goal involvement in both of Gladbach’s last two games (G1, A1), having also picked up a yellow card in three of his previous five league appearances. Also on the scoresheet last weekend was Maximilian Eggestein, whose consolation against Dortmund was his first Bundesliga goal contribution since providing an assist for Itakura’s Japanese compatriot Ritsu Dōan in last season’s corresponding fixture against Gladbach (3-0).[/p]

[p]Hot stat: The away side on the day has picked up the first booking in each of Gladbach’s last nine matches. [/p]
