Osasuna Girona prediction 2025-04-13

Osasuna vs Girona prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2025-04-12 12:00.
[p]Sunday’s La Liga action opens with a meeting between two of the division’s most out-of-form sides, Osasuna and Girona, who are both winless in eight, which is part of a longer malaise of just one victory across the previous 18 rounds of fixtures for Osasuna (D11, L6). Despite their recent frustrations though, the hosts are seven points above the relegation zone ahead of this weekend. [/p]

[p]Osasuna have proved difficult to beat this season, with their 14 draws after 30 matchdays representing the joint-highest figure across Europe’s traditional top-five leagues this term going into this weekend and the most by a La Liga side at this stage of a campaign since 2018/19. Five of those draws have come in their last eight home games (W1, L2), while they have gone on to claim a point in all but one of their top-flight encounters at El Sadar when conceding first in 2024/25 (D5, L1). [/p]

[p]Sitting just one point off their upcoming opponents, Girona travel looking to complete the double over Osasuna after posting their largest La Liga win of the season so far – a 4-0 triumph – in August’s reverse fixture. That is a distant memory now, as only once have the Catalonians ever endured a longer wait for a top-flight victory than during their current run (D3, L5) – a ten-game sequence ending in February 2019.[/p]

[p]Five winless away league matches (D1, L4) haven’t helped their cause, although their last three losses on their travels all came against current top-four opponents. History suggests that run could be about to come to an end here, as only against Real Valladolid manager Míchel avoided defeat more often than his seven times against Osasuna in the dugout (W4, D3, L2), winning his last three such meetings.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Osasuna’s top league scorer this season, Ante Budimir (G15), netted twice at home to Girona in both of the last two campaigns. Yangel Herrera earned a yellow card in three of his last four appearances for club and country – he’s also scored four goals, all headers, in La Liga action for Girona in 2024/25. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Only one of Girona’s six away league games against pre-round bottom-half sides saw both teams score.[/p]
