Reims Toulouse prediction 2025-04-20

Reims vs Toulouse prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-04-19 15:15.
[p]It’s been a good last few weeks for Reims, who have won three of their last four games in all competitions (L1). That revival has helped them reach the Coupe de France final, but perhaps more importantly, opened up a five-point gap to the bottom two pre-round. The most eye-catching thing about their two league wins in that run is that both came against sides who start this round inside the top half (Marseille and Lens).[/p]

[p]Sitting just two points above the relegation play-off spot pre-round, Reims could take another step towards survival against Toulouse. That will require a change in home fortunes, with Reims winning just one of their last 11 home league games (D3, L7), but having lost four of the last six H2Hs (W1, D1), that’s far from guaranteed here. [/p]

[p]Toulouse have enjoyed travelling to Reims in recent years, winning on three of their last four visits to this ground (L1). They’ll perhaps view this trip as timely then given that they’ve lost their last four Ligue 1 games, and although three of those defeats came by a one-goal margin, conceding a whopping 11 goals across those four reversals is sure to be of concern to boss Carles Martínez Novell. [/p]

[p]Not since March 2020 have Toulouse lost five Ligue 1 games in a row, but hitting the road may well stimulate a response. Still in no real danger of being dragged into the relegation battle, the Violets have won more points on the road this season (18) than they have at home (16), and continuing that momentum on their travels could be key in not replicating their lowest Ligue 1 finish of 13th since they returned to the top flight in 2022/23.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Teenage winger Mamadou Diakhon has scored both of his Ligue 1 goals at home this season, with both arriving after half-time and serving as Reims’ second of the game. Frank Magri has scored in Toulouse’s last four away league games – he was shown a yellow card in three of those games too. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Toulouse’s away league games have averaged 0.86 total goals in the first half – the second-lowest figure in Ligue 1 pre-round.[/p]
