Wolfsburg Freiburg prediction 2025-04-26

Wolfsburg vs Freiburg prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-04-25 13:30.
[p]Wolfsburg are now on a six-game Bundesliga winless run (D2, L4), and although they ended a four-match losing streak last weekend by drawing 2-2 with Mainz, Ralph HasenhĂĽttl’s men will be annoyed that they squandered another lead. Their recent downturn in form has put paid to their top-six chances, with Wolfsburg now eight points off the European places, but after their last victory – 2-1 against Werder Bremen in March – they sat seventh.[/p]

[p]Snapping out of their downward spiral against Freiburg won’t be easy considering Wolfsburg have lost three of the last four H2Hs. It would typically be thought that returning home would offer the best chance of improving upon both of those wretched records, but that may not be the case for Wolfsburg, who are winless in their last six home league games and have collected just 38% of their points at home this term – the lowest percentage of any Bundesliga club.[/p]

[p]Freiburg have been able to maintain their European push as they currently sit fifth, which would currently be worthy of a spot in next season’s UEFA Europa League. Head coach Julian Schuster won’t be getting complacent, especially as his men endured a five-game winless sequence before back-to-back victories over the last two weekends against Borussia Mönchengladbach and Hoffenheim.[/p]

[p]The first of those wins, against Gladbach, extended Freiburg’s unbeaten away league run to five matches (W3, D2), with the club last posting a longer such run in January 2013. They could replicate that six-game run here, and if they did so with a victory, it would mark back-to-back Bundesliga away H2Hs triumphs for the first time in the Breisgau Brazilians’ history.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Maximilian Arnold has scored a joint-career high four Bundesliga goals against Freiburg, three of which arrived after the 80th minute. Lukas Kübler enjoys facing Wolfsburg (W5, D1, L1), who are one of only two teams against whom the right-back has scored at least twice, with both his goals in this fixture coming in December’s 3-2 win. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Wolfsburg have led a league-low one Bundesliga home game at half-time this season (HT: D5, L9).[/p]
