Torino vs Venezia prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-05-01 18:45.
[p]After losing just once in 14 Serie A outings (W4, D9), Torino have been beaten in two of their last three league outings after a 2-0 defeat to Napoli last weekend. A fourth successive top-ten finish is now far from guaranteed considering the incredible form of nearest chasers Como, but Paolo Vanoli’s men should fancy their chances of getting back on track here as they’re one of just four sides in the division yet to lose a Serie A home game in 2025 (W4, D4).[/p]
[p]They begin as favourites here against relegation-threatened Venezia, perhaps largely owing to the fact Torino have avoided defeat in all nine of their home matches this season against sides starting the round in the bottom half (W4, D5). They also won the reverse fixture 1-0 in August, so Torino will be gunning for a first winning double over Venezia in 63 years here.[/p]
[p]While Torino sit comfortably in mid-table, the stakes are much higher for Venezia who remain in the relegation zone after a 2-0 defeat to AC Milan last week. The Winged Lions sit just two points shy of safety having been beaten just twice in their last nine games, but only one win in that time – against already-relegated Monza no less – means that draws are unlikely to be enough to keep them in the top flight.[/p]
[p]That elusive victory coming on the road certainly appears unlikely as Eusebio Di Francesco’s men remain the only side yet to win an away Serie A game this season (D8, L9). Draws in each of their last four indicate that Venezia should at least be tough to beat, especially considering that two of them came against top-three Atalanta and in-form Como.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Five of Nikola Vlašić’s last seven Torino goals arrived after half-time, and he’s yet to lose a home game for the club when finding the net (W5, D1). Christian Gytkjær has scored just twice for Venezia this season, but both were equalisers beyond the 75th minute in away matches.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Seven of Torino’s last 11 home matches produced exactly two goals.[/p]
