Strasbourg PSG prediction 2025-05-03

Strasbourg vs PSG prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-05-02 15:00.
[p]After successive draws stalled their progress somewhat, Strasbourg extended their unbeaten run to 11 games (W8, D3) and re-ignited their hopes of a top-four finish with 3-1 win over Saint-Étienne last weekend. That victory means Le Racing will start this round in seventh, just outside the European spots, but as they trail third-place Lille by only two points, their top-four hopes are very much still alive.[/p]

[p]With only one league defeat at the Stade de la Meinau all season (W9, D5), Liam Rosenior’s side have made their home ground a real fortress but that record will face its toughest test yet on Saturday when champions PSG visit. It’s not just PSG’s form this term which will worry Strasbourg, they’ve been a troublesome opponent for many a year, with the hosts winning just two of the last 28 H2Hs (D6, L20)![/p]

[p]PSG won the reverse fixture 4-2 and the Parisians will be targeting a fourth successive H2H victory after hitting the back of the net nine times across the last three. Although their hopes of becoming the first-ever side to complete an entire Ligue 1 season unbeaten went up in smoke when they were beaten 3-1 by Nice in the last round, they could still finish the season without losing an away league game after going unbeaten in their first 15 road trips this term.[/p]

[p]They secured a mammoth away win on Tuesday night when they beat Arsenal 1-0 in the Champions League semi-final first leg to put one foot in the final. Still on course to complete a famous treble with the Coupe de France final to come at the end of May, PSG are perhaps showing signs of prioritising other competitions now the title is wrapped up, as they’re winless in two league games for only the second time this season (D1, L1).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Dilane Bakwa has contributed to a goal in his last two H2Hs against PSG (G1, A1) and has scored or assisted three times (G2, A1) across Strasbourg’s last three home games. Kang-In Lee scored in the 90th minute in the reverse H2H, but his last four Ligue 1 away goals arrived inside 20 minutes.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Strasbourg have been ahead at half-time in only one of their last nine Ligue 1 home games, but gone on to win six of them (D3).[/p]
