Genoa AC Milan prediction 2025-05-05

Genoa vs AC Milan prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-05-04 18:45.
[p]Although they start the weekend in 13th place and 14 points above the relegation zone, Genoa are in underwhelming form, with only two wins in their last nine Serie A matches (D3, L4). They were beaten 1-0 at Como last Sunday to make it two successive defeats and have now failed to score in any of their last three games (D1, L2), finding the net just once in their last five (W1, D1, L3).[/p]

[p]A 2-0 defeat against Lazio on matchday 33 did end an unbeaten run of six home games (W5, D1) for Patrick Vieira’s side, but returning to winning ways this Monday evening looks like being a tough assignment against AC Milan, who Genoa have lost to in five of their last six H2Hs (D1) at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris and failed to even score in four of them![/p]

[p]Worryingly for Genoa, Milan head down the A7 highway in great form. After beating Venezia, Inter Milan and Udinese ‘to nil’ in their last three away games, the Rossoneri are targeting a fourth consecutive victory on the road for the first time since March last year. This recent run of success represents a real turnaround for Sérgio Conceição’s men, who had lost six of their previous eight fixtures on their travels (L2).[/p]

[p]Milan have lost just one of their last 15 matches against Genoa (W10, D4), and if they can make it 11 wins from 16, then a late push for a European place via the league could still be achieved. Conceição’s side begin this round of fixtures in ninth place, six points behind Roma in the UEFA Conference League qualification spot, but with a Coppa Italia final to come against Bologna later this month, they could still qualify for the UEFA Europa League via that route.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Although he conceded twice in their last home game, goalkeeper Nicola Leali had let in only two goals across Genoa’s six previous such encounters and also kept a clean sheet in December’s H2H. Christian Pulisic got the winner in last season’s corresponding fixture and has four goal contributions to his name (G3, A1) in Milan’s last five away matches.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Milan have not conceded in both halves of the same game since early March (W4, D2, L2).[/p]
