AC Milan Bologna prediction 2025-05-14

AC Milan vs Bologna prediction: ITALY: Coppa Italia betting tips on match 2025-05-13 19:00.
[p]The final of the Coppa Italia is an intriguing match in so many ways, not least because Bologna and AC Milan met as recently as Friday, with Milan coming from behind to secure a 3-1 victory. That was a huge blow to Bologna’s top-four hopes, but just a third-ever Coppa Italia win, and first since way back in 1974, would be the perfect way to bounce back. [/p]

[p]That was also the last time they reached the final of this competition, and considering that their only domestic honours since have been lower-league titles, there’s so much riding on this game for Bologna. Manager Vincenzo Italiano reached this stage two years ago as Fiorentina boss, falling to a 2-1 defeat to Milan’s rivals Inter, while he’s also been beaten in two Conference League finals. That goes some way to explaining his side’s marginal underdog status, as does Bologna’s return of just one win from the last 19 H2Hs (D4, L14).[/p]

[p]Milan are two points worse off in Serie A than Bologna, but a run of four straight wins that started with victory over Inter in this competition has kept their faint hopes of a Champions League return alive. Considering their illustrious history, Milan have underperformed in the Coppa Italia down the years, lifting the trophy just five times, with their last such success coming way back in 2003. [/p]

[p]The Rossoneri have reached just two finals since, losing both without scoring against the competition’s most successful side Juventus . Sérgio Conceição’s men will be fancied to at the very least avoid adding to that here, given that they have scored in each of the last six H2Hs with Bologna, netting 2+ goals four times in that sequence. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Riccardo Orsolini’s last two goals for Bologna have come against Milan clubs, with his strike on Friday night against the Rossoneri his second in as many matches against AC Milan. Santiago Giménez was Milan’s hero on Friday, scoring twice to take his goal involvement tally to four in three matches (G3, A1) despite starting on the bench in all three! [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Just three of the last nine Coppa Italia finals saw both teams score.[/p]
