Osasuna Atl. Madrid prediction 2025-05-15

Osasuna vs Atl. Madrid prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2025-05-14 17:00.
[p]After a 1-1 draw at Real Betis and a 4-2 defeat at Villarreal which followed a three-match winning streak, Osasuna begin this round of fixtures in 11th place in La Liga, the same position where they finished last season, yet they are just two points from the European places. They return to El Sadar this Thursday, a venue where Vicente Moreno’s team have beaten Sevilla and Girona in their last two games and have lost only once since the turn of the year (W3, D3).[/p]

[p]It was early last May, before Moreno was appointed as manager, when Osasuna last failed to score a goal at home, but that run could be severely tested here against Atlético Madrid as Los Rojillos have found the net just once across the last six H2Hs as hosts (L6), while they were beaten 1-0 in the reverse fixture at Estadio Metropolitano in January.[/p]

[p]AtlĂ©tico will arrive in Pamplona fresh from a 4-0 thrashing of Real Sociedad on Saturday – with all the goals scored inside 30 minutes – which mathematically confirmed their place in next season’s UEFA Champions League. That result also saw them keep a clean sheet for a third consecutive game, all the more impressive as Diego Simeone’s men had failed to register a shutout in any of their previous six La Liga fixtures![/p]

[p]Trailing second-placed Real Madrid by five points and leading fourth-placed Athletic Club in fourth by six points ahead of this matchday, a third-placed finish looks most likely for Atlético, but they will be keen to improve their away form, after failing to score in their last two games on the road (D1, L1) while winning just two of their eight La Liga fixtures on their travels (D3, L3) in 2025.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Aimar Oroz has three bookings, two assists and a goal to his name in Osasuna’s last six matches, while he picked up a yellow card and scored against Atlético last season. Alexander Sørloth incredibly netted all four of Atlético’s goals on Saturday and has not been on the losing side against Osasuna in five personal H2Hs (W4, D1).[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Atlético have conceded a first-half goal in only one of their last eight La Liga away games.[/p]
