PSG vs Inter prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – Play Offs betting tips on match 2025-05-30 19:00.
[p]For the fifth time in history, Munich will host the European Cup/UEFA Champions League (UCL) final, and with all four previous finals in this city producing first-time winners, the omens are with Paris Saint-Germain who take on Inter Milan for the greatest prize in European club football. Winning this trophy has been PSG’s holy grail since their 2011 Qatari takeover, but failure has greeted them at every turn with only three sides playing more UCL matches than their 167 without being crowned champions.[/p]
[p]One of those came in the final back in 2020, when PSG were beaten by Bayern Munich to prolong the wait for a French winner of Europe’s premier club competition which dates back to Marseille’s win over AC Milan in 1993 – which coincidentally was also in Munich! Manager Luis Enrique is gunning to become just the sixth coach in UCL history to win the competition with two different clubs, and doing so would secure PSG’s first-ever quadruple after romping to the Ligue 1, Coupe de France and TrophĂ©e des Champions titles already this season.[/p]
[p]Inter’s last triumph in the UCL came in 2010, but this final presents the Nerazzurri’s last chance of silverware this season after they missed out on the Serie A title by a single point to Napoli. Simone Inzaghi’s men have defied the odds throughout the knockout stages this term, overcoming Bayern in the quarter-finals thanks to a 2-1 win on this ground before a stunning 7-6 aggregate victory over Barcelona in the semi-finals.[/p]
[p]Unlike PSG, Inter’s squad is founded on experience, with players aged 30+ accounting for 43% of their minutes played in this season’s UCL. While ageing legs may be feeling the effects of a long season, that method has certainly delivered, as they’ve trailed for just over 1% of their matches in the competition, and never for more than 370 seconds. A large majority of those players were on the losing side in the 2023 final against Manchester City, so Inter will be even more determined to be crowned European champions for a fourth time here.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: No PSG player has been involved in more UCL goals in a single campaign than Ousmane DembĂ©lé’s 12 in 2024/25 (G8, A4), including a hat-trick on German soil against Stuttgart in the league phase. Inter’s Lautaro MartĂnez is looking to become the first player to score ten goals in a single European campaign for the Nerazzurri, while he could also be just the sixth player to score in all four knockout rounds in the same UCL season.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Inter have scored first in 11 of their 14 UCL matches this season.[/p]
