Netherlands U21 Denmark U21 prediction 2025-06-15

Netherlands U21 vs Denmark U21 prediction: EUROPE: Euro U21 betting tips on match 2025-06-14 19:00.
[p]Netherlands were the first nation to book their spot in the 2025 UEFA European U21 Championships, and ended qualification with a 100% record having won all ten games. The two-time winners conceded a measly three goals across those ten qualifying games, but had a sluggish start on matchday one of the finals when they had to come from two goals down against Finland to rescue a 2-2 draw.[/p]

[p]Although not the win they’d have hoped for, that late leveller means the Jong Oranje have still lost just once since Michael Reiziger took charge in July 2023 (W14, D3). The former Ajax coach described their opening round draw with Finland as a “wake-up call”, recognising that more is needed if they’re to reach the last four for the fifth time in their last six tournament appearances. [/p]

[p]Denmark didn’t cement their qualification for this tournament until last October before going on a four-game winless run in their pre-tournament friendlies (D2, L2). The Scandinavians ended that run by beating Ukraine 3-2 on matchday one, and that result perhaps shouldn’t come as a surprise, with the Scandinavians having now won six successive group stage games in U21 Euros finals dating back to 2019![/p]

[p]The Red and Whites have only made it out of the group stage in this tournament in two of their last six attempts, but a winning start this time around sees them occupy top spot in Group D pre-round. A shock victory against the odds here would certainly aid their cause, so much so that if they do win as heavy underdogs, it will be enough to book their spot in the last eight. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Noah Ohio has recorded 11 goal involvements for the Netherlands in 11 competitive appearances for the U21 side (G7, A4). Newcastle’s Will Osula opened up his tournament account with two goal involvements for Denmark (G1, A1), and has now recorded at least one in five of his last six appearances for the U21s.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Eighteen of the Netherlands’ last 20 games have seen 2+ match goals scored.[/p]
