France U21 Poland U21 prediction 2025-06-17

France U21 vs Poland U21 prediction: EUROPE: Euro U21 betting tips on match 2025-06-16 16:00.
[p]France picked up their first win at the U21 Euros in dramatic fashion as they overturned a 2-1 deficit heading into the 89th minute against Georgia to win 3-2 on Saturday, putting them in a commanding position to progress here. Appearing in the tournament for a fourth consecutive time, France remain amongst the favourites to win the tournament, and it’s easy to see why given the French have qualified from the group stage in all five editions since the competition was reformatted in 2000. [/p]

[p]Just a draw will be enough to see France over the line, but a meeting with hapless Poland should raise expectations further than simply scraping through. Never losing against Poland in any of the eight U21 H2Hs (W5, D3), France are used to sweeping this opposition aside having scored at least twice in six of those clashes. That links well to France’s rampant 2025 form, where they’ve won four of their five matches (D1), scoring 14 times in the process. [/p]

[p]After falling to a 2-1 defeat to outsiders Georgia on the opening day before their 5-0 drubbing by Portugal in round two, Poland head to Žilina having already been eliminated from the tournament as Group C’s bottom side. Disappointment will be the overriding emotion for Poland, who arrived at their first finals since 2019 full of hope, especially having finished level on points with record title winners Spain and Italy six years ago. [/p]

[p]Yet to even lead in a match at the tournament, Poland will do well to nose ahead against France after they conceded a sixth consecutive unanswered goal in their last game. There may be a reality in which Poland can overcome their huge odds, as while they’ve never won an U21 H2H, Poland have previously mustered three victories at U17 and U18 levels in recent years (W3, D3, L7), although none came in a competitive setting. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: France and Tottenham’s Mathys Tel scored the opener from the penalty spot against Georgia and he has previously scored against Poland in a 6-1 victory at U17 level. Poland and Antalyaspor’s Jakub Kaluzinski has scored his nation’s only goal at the tournament, a penalty strike which means Poland are yet to score from open play at the tournament. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Six of Poland’s last eight matches produced over 3.5 total goals. [/p]
