Slovenia U21 Czech Republic U21 prediction 2025-06-18

Slovenia U21 vs Czech Republic U21 prediction: EUROPE: Euro U21 betting tips on match 2025-06-17 19:00.
[p]The smallest of windows remains open for Slovenia in their quest to defy the odds and reach the knockout rounds of U21 European Championships, having held England to a 0-0 draw last time out after being beaten 3-0 by Germany in their opener. That leaves them three points behind the English in second heading into the final pair of Group B games, so to progress they’ll need to beat the Czech Republic and hope England lose against Germany with a huge goal difference swing.[/p]

[p]The form of Andrej Razdrh’s side suggests they’ll struggle to hold up their end of the bargain, since they’re now winless in their last six matches (D4, L2). The Slovenians also lack pedigree at this level with this being just their second appearance at the U21 Euros finals, with their first group stage victory in the tournament still proving elusive (D2, L3).[/p]

[p]They take on a Czech Republic side who sit bottom of the group after suffering comprehensive 3-1 and 4-2 defeats to England and Germany respectively. That’s left them with nothing but pride to play for here at the MOL Aréna in Dunajská Streda, but with no wins in their last five games (D2, L3), they may already be looking forward to their flight home.[/p]

[p]Despite the undeniably tough group they found themselves in, the 2002 winners will be disappointed with their output with this being their fifth successive tournament appearance to see them crash out at the group stage. They do at least look good value to bow out on a high here, as Jan Suchopárek’s team have only lost one of their seven previous H2Hs with Slovenia (W4, D2).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Slovenia will likely be relying on Tio Cipot to score their first goal of the tournament, since he’s netted the match opener in three of his last four goalscoring outings for the U21 national side. The Czech Republic will be hoping their lucky charm, Václav Sejk, can get on the scoresheet since his nation have won nine of the ten U21 national matches he’s scored in (D1). [/p]

[p]Hot stat: The half-time result has been replicated at full-time in six of Slovenia’s last seven matches.[/p]
