Inter vs Urawa Reds prediction: WORLD: FIFA Club World Cup betting tips on match 2025-06-20 19:00.
[p]Serie A giants Inter Milan will knock J1 League’s Urawa Reds out of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup (CWC) if they win on matchday two in Seattle.[/p]
[p]Match News and Current Form[/p]
[p]Inter came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Mexico’s Monterrey to kick off a new era under head coach Cristian Chivu, but became the first Italian side to not win a CWC match including previous formats. It was also the first goal that the Nerazzurri had conceded in the competition, but against vastly inferior opposition here, they should feel confident of bouncing back. Another slip-up here wouldn’t see them crash out, but it would certainly complicate their chances of progression ahead of their final Group E clash with River Plate. [/p]
[p]Urawa lost 3-1 to River Plate on matchday one despite having most of the second-half possession. The result extended their indifferent form over the last eight matches (W2, D3, L3), and another defeat here would end their CWC venture. Avoiding that scenario looks difficult though unless they can improve defensively, as Maciej Skorża’s men have kept just a single clean sheet in their last eight games. Rattling in ten goals themselves across that period though, Urawa certainly can’t be written off. [/p]
[p]Head-to-Head History[/p]
[p]This is the first competitive H2H between these teams.[/p]
[p]Inter’s only previous meeting against an Asian club came in their successful 2010 edition when they beat Korea’s Seongnam FC 3-0 in the semi-finals. [/p]
[p]Urawa have lost both their previous CWC games against European sides without scoring (1-0 vs AC Milan in 2007 and 3-0 vs Manchester City in 2023).[/p]
[p]Hot Stats and Streaks[/p]
[p]There have been at least two goals in seven of Inter’s last eight matches.[/p]
[p]Inter have kept just three clean sheets in their last 17 games.[/p]
[p]Six of Urawa’s last seven matches have seen both teams score.[/p]
[p]Six of Urawa’s last nine CWC games saw over 2.5 goals.[/p]
[p]Key Players to Watch and Missing Players[/p]
[p]Nicolò Barella completed a match-high 66 passes against Monterrey, but will hope to register a first goal contribution for Inter since March here. Urawa’s Yūsuke Matsuo is looking for goals in back-to-back games after becoming the first Japanese player since 2018 to score at the CWC when he netted against River Plate.[/p]
[p]Marcus Thuram, Denzel Dumfries and Hakan Çalhanoğlu could all miss out for the Nerazzurri through injury, while for the Reds, Kai Shibato remains the only notable absentee.[/p]
[p]Betting Analysis[/p]
[p]Inter’s recent clean-sheet troubles, combined with Urawa’s tendency to see goals go in at both ends in their matches makes both teams to score a worthy pick for this encounter.[/p]
