Belgium W Italy W prediction 2025-07-03

Belgium W vs Italy W prediction: EUROPE: Euro Women betting tips on match 2025-07-02 16:00.
[p]Two teams considered as outsiders to win the 2025 UEFA European Women’s Championship meet on Thursday in Sion as Belgium take on Italy in a competitive-looking Group B.[/p]

[p]Match News and Current Form[/p]

[p]Belgium secured their place at their third successive Euros finals with a 4-1 aggregate success over Ukraine in early December, but they have lost five of their eight games since (W3). Their three most recent defeats saw the Red Flames concede five goals each time against three of the pre-tournament favourites in England, Spain and France. As Spain are also amongst the frontrunners, improvements against elite opposition will be necessary, but Belgium showed their credentials when avenging defeat to England just four days later with a 3-2 victory, and they come into this fixture following a 2-0 win over Greece in their last game.[/p]

[p]Italy are out to improve on successive group stage exits at the Euros, and carry good momentum with them as they’re unbeaten in three matches (W2, D1), conceding just once in the process. The Azzurre qualified for this year’s tournament by winning their qualifying group, but their record at recent Euros finals leaves a lot to be desired, as they’ve not gone beyond the quarter-finals since 1997, and have fallen at the first hurdle in four of their last six appearances, even finishing bottom of the group in 2022![/p]

[p]Head-to-Head History[/p]

[p]Belgium have lost only one of the five H2Hs with Italy (W4) and are targeting a fourth successive victory in the fixture. Each of their prior three wins came by a one-goal margin.[/p]

[p]Hot Stats and Streaks[/p]

[p]Belgium have alternated from victory to defeat across each of their last six fixtures.[/p]

[p]Belgium are yet to win their opening match at the Euros (D1, L1).[/p]

[p]Italy have not conceded a first-half goal in any of their last 15 matches (W7, D5, L3).[/p]

[p]Italy have won only one of their last five Euros openers (D1, L3).[/p]

[p]Key Players to Watch and Missing Players[/p]

[p]Tessa Wullaert scored the winner in the last H2H and is in fine form for her country with seven direct goal contributions across Belgium’s last five games (G5, A2). Manuela Giugliano grabbed two assists against Wales in Italy’s last game and was also on the scoresheet in the last H2H.[/p]

[p]Due to knee injuries, Belgium will be without Saar Janssen, Laura De Neve and Féli Delacauw for the entirety of the tournament. A torn ankle ligament means that Italy midfielder Giulia Dragoni will miss these Euros.[/p]

[p]Betting Analysis[/p]

[p]Three of the last four H2Hs have finished 2-1, so backing either side to win by that scoreline seems a logical bet, with recent form certainly favouring the Italians.[/p]
