Pafos (Cyp) Dyn. Kyiv (Ukr) prediction 2025-08-12

Pafos (Cyp) vs Dyn. Kyiv (Ukr) prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – Qualification betting tips on match 2025-08-11 17:00.
[p]After winning the first leg of this UEFA Champions League (UCL) third qualifying round 1-0 in Poland last week, Pafos continue their dream of a maiden UCL campaign ahead of the second leg against Dynamo Kyiv.[/p]

[p]Match News and Current Form[/p]

[p]While their domestic league is yet to kick off, Pafos have already come through three UCL games this term, eliminating Maccabi Tel Aviv before last week’s first leg. All of those came on neutral soil, with Pafos unable to stage European games in their own stadium. They’ll travel 60 km to Alphamega Stadium for this one as they look to extend a five-match unbeaten run as the nominal home side (W4, D1), with that streak including three clean sheets.[/p]

[p]Dynamo Kyiv must overcome a one-goal deficit from the first leg, and can take confidence from a comfortable 3-0 win in the away leg of their second qualifying round tie against Maltese minnows Ħamrun Spartans. The Ukrainian side bounced back from last week’s defeat with a rousing 5-1 win over Rukh Lviv in domestic action on Friday, so belief should remain that they can avoid falling at the third qualifying round hurdle of the UCL for the first time since 2019/20.[/p]

[p]Head-to-Head History[/p]

[p]Last week’s clash was the first-ever meeting between these two sides, and Pafos’ maiden meeting with Ukrainian opposition. That result continued Dynamo’s winless record against Cypriot sides, which now stands at three matches (D1, L2).[/p]

[p]Hot Stats and Streaks[/p]

[p]Pafos have won just two of the 13 European matches in which they conceded (D3, L8).[/p]

[p]Only two of Pafos’ last eight matches saw both teams score.[/p]

[p]Dynamo have failed to score in six of their last 11 European outings.[/p]

[p]Dynamo have led 1-0 at half-time in all three of their away games this season. [/p]

[p]Key Players to Watch and Missing Players[/p]

[p]Anderson Silva scored the winner for Pafos last week with the third of his last four goals to arrive beyond the 80th minute. Dynamo Kyiv’s Vladyslav Vanat opened the scoring in both second qualifying round matches, and has been on the winning side in 14 of the last 17 club matches he scored in (D3). [/p]

[p]Pafos’ marquee new signing David Luiz has been sidelined since June with a thigh injury. Dynamo Kyiv look set to be without their new winger Ángel Torres and midfielder Valentyn Rubchynskyi.[/p]

[p]Betting Analysis[/p]

[p]Having won four of their five competitive matches this summer, Dynamo Kyiv’s greater European pedigree could come to the fore here, so backing the visitors to win and progress looks to be a sensible choice.[/p]
