Toulouse PSG prediction 2025-08-30

Toulouse vs PSG prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-08-29 19:05.
[p]After winning their opening two Ligue 1 matches of the season for the first time since 2011/12, Toulouse next face the biggest test of them all as PSG come to town. [/p]

[p]Match News and Current Form[/p]

[p]Following their mid-table finish last season, Toulouse fans would have come into this season full of hope and that’s been justified as they’ve seen their side win both of their Ligue 1 games so far without conceding. A dogged display last time out against Brest delivered a 2-0 victory and they’ll now go in search of winning their first three games in a French top-flight season for the first time since 2010/11. On paper that seems unlikely, but with a current six-match unbeaten league run under their belt (W4, D2), the hosts will perhaps be cautiously optimistic they can cause an upset.  [/p]

[p]PSG have also begun the season with back-to-back victories in the top-flight, and like Toulouse they haven’t conceded either, but with both wins coming by a 1-0 scoreline, PSG haven’t been at their formidable best in the final third. Not since 2015/16 have the visitors opened a campaign with three league wins ‘to nil’, and it appears likely that record will remain intact, as despite winning nine of their last 11 away league games (D1, L1), only two of those games saw them keep a clean sheet.[/p]

[p]Head-to-Head History[/p]

[p]Since the start of 2010, PSG have won 21 of their 26 Ligue 1 games against Toulouse (D3, L2), only beating Marseille more often in the competition during that time. [/p]

[p]Hot Stats and Streaks[/p]

[p]Toulouse have scored in 16 of their last 17 home league games, though the exception came against PSG.[/p]

[p]Toulouse have scored just eight first-half Ligue 1 goals in 2025 – the lowest tally of any ever-present side.[/p]

[p]PSG have scored in each of their last 11 away league games.[/p]

[p]Seven of the last ten away league goals that PSG have conceded came after half-time. [/p]

[p]Key Players to Watch and Missing Players[/p]

[p]Frank Magri netted a winning brace for Toulouse against Brest last time out, whilst he was the last player to score for them against PSG in May 2024. PSG’s Fabián Ruiz also struck his side’s winner last time out, meaning that 13 of his 14 goalscoring appearances for the club have now ended in victory. [/p]

[p]Toulouse are without long-term absentee Niklas Schmidt. PSG have a near full-strength squad at present, although Khvicha Kvaratskhelia did miss their last match with a minor calf issue.  [/p]

[p]Betting Analysis[/p]

[p]With PSG’s recent historical dominance of this fixture, and their tendency to win it with a clean sheet, backing them to win without both teams scoring could be a smart pick. [/p]
