AC Milan Fiorentina prediction 2023-11-25

AC Milan vs Fiorentina prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2023-11-24 19:45.
Conceding twice after the hour mark saw AC Milan squander a 2-0 lead in a 2-2 draw at Lecce before the international break, extending their winless Serie A (SA) run to four games (D2, L2). That sequence left them eight points behind leaders and city rivals Inter Milan, and to make matters worse, top-scorer Olivier Giroud picked up a late red card. His absence certainly won’t help their cause against Fiorentina, as they seek to avoid a tenth top-flight loss in 2023, with their nine defeats already triple the amount they suffered in 2022.

Such a result would further dent their ego, as the Rossoneri are in danger of losing three straight home league games for the first time since 2006, after losing their last two without scoring. Should they again succumb to a defeat ‘to nil’, it would only be the second time in history that Milan have lost three straight top-flight home games without scoring.

Fiorentina know all about tasting defeat whilst failing to score, having only recently halted a three-game SA losing and scoreless run with a 2-1 win over Bologna before the international break, a result that kept them within a point of the top-four ahead of this round. That’s a finish the club hasn’t achieved since 2014/15, and a win here would not only help La Viola move a step closer to that feat, but also see them post consecutive SA H2H wins for the first time since August 2015.

Heading on the road to the San Siro is a negative in that regard though, as Fiorentina have already been beaten there this season, going down 4-0 against Inter back in September. Facing AC Milan has been equally painful in recent times at this venue, as they have lost their last three H2H league visits to the famous ground.

Players to watch: Christian Pulisic assisted Milan’s opener in his last league game, the first time his side dropped points in six SA matches when he contributed to a goal in this season (G4, A2). A direct contribution from Nicolás González would be a bonus for Fiorentina, as his two prior H2H contributions (G1, A1) have both come in wins.

Hot stat: Ahead of the round, Fiorentina have scored a league-high seven SA goals within the first 20 minutes.
