AC Milan Monza prediction 2025-05-24

AC Milan vs Monza prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-05-23 18:45.
[p]After four successive top-four finishes in Serie A, AC Milan will miss out on European football altogether thanks to a bruising pair of defeats last week. First, the Rossoneri were beaten in the final of the Coppa Italia by Bologna, before they went down 3-1 to Roma in Serie A on Sunday, with that result leaving them at risk of finishing outside the top seven for the first time since 2014/15.[/p]

[p]Pressure therefore weighs heavily on the shoulders of manager Sérgio Conceição, who’ll be determined to round off his first season in charge with a win. Milan face the division’s easiest fixture on paper as they host bottom-of-the-table Monza, and although a return of just two wins from their last seven home games suggests this may not be a walk in the park (D3, L2), ten wins from 11 games against the league’s bottom six this term (L1) should ease any jitters.[/p]

[p]Looking to add a marquee result to an otherwise miserable season, Monza will bow out of the top flight after three seasons at arguably the division’s most iconic venue. The Biancorossi will finish bottom after managing just three league wins this term (D9, L25), with that representing a steep fall-off after sitting comfortably in mid-table in their two previous Serie A campaigns.[/p]

[p]Boss Alessandro Nesta could restore some pride should he mastermind a win at the ground he graced for so long in his illustrious playing career. Monza are yet to win away at AC Milan (L2), but have seen two of their three league wins this term come on the road, one of which was on their last such trip to Udinese having lost their prior 11 successive away matches.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Heavily linked with a move away this summer, Tijjani Reijnders could bring the curtain down on his Milan career positively here having scored in two of the last three H2Hs, including a third-minute opener in this corresponding fixture last season. Gianluca Caprari is finishing the season strongly with a goal and an assist across his last two matches, but Milan are the side he’s faced more than any other in his career without winning (D2, L12).[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Only six sides in Serie A have conceded the opening goal on more occasions than AC Milan this season (19).[/p]
