Alaves Las Palmas prediction 2023-12-09

Alaves vs Las Palmas prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2023-12-08 13:00.
Manager Luis GarcĂa Plaza believes AlavĂ©s’ upcoming fixtures are so tough, that their clash with Las Palmas is a must-win game. Babazorros face high-flying trio Girona, Real Madrid and Real Sociedad in La Liga (LL) over the next four weeks, leading their boss to claim they “have to get three points, no matter what” against their visitors from Gran Canaria.

Should they chalk up a victory, it would continue a recent revival which has seen Alavés accumulate seven points from their last four league matches (W2, D1, L1), putting breathing space between themselves and the relegation zone. They have been particularly strong on home soil throughout the campaign too, with each of their four top flight victories this season coming at Mendizorrotza (D1, L2).

Their visitors may not have much faith of putting a dent in that record either, given they have tasted success just once in the last ten H2Hs (D6, L3), with five of those games finishing 1-1! Las Palmas are in buoyant mood at the moment though, as they have already collected 21 of an available 45 points, the joint-most they have had after 15 games in the top-flight since 1981/82.

It has therefore been a remarkable return to LL for García Pimienta’s side, who finished as runners-up in the second-tier last year, and are now dreaming of qualifying for Europe for the first time since the late 1970s. Los Amarillos have endured a few problems on their travels though, failing to keep a clean sheet in their eight away matches so far, five of which have ended in a defeat ‘to nil’ (W2, D1).

Key battle: AlavĂ©s’ on loan forward Samu Omorodion has netted five league goals this season, four of which have come after half-time. He will be attempting to get the better of visiting goalkeeper Álvaro Valles, who has only kept one clean sheet in his last 14 away matches.

Hot stat: Las Palmas matches are averaging 1.73 goals per game, the lowest total in LL.
