[p]Many La Liga fans thought that a game between AlavĂ©s and Valencia at this stage of the season would have represented a relegation âsix-pointerâ. The game still carries huge importance for AlavĂ©s who, after a 1-0 defeat to Athletic Club at the weekend, hover just a point above the drop zone ahead of the matchday, although they were unbeaten in three games beforehand (W1, D2).[/p]
