Almeria Getafe prediction 2022-11-09

Almeria vs Getafe prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2022-11-08 18:00.
A sixth straight La Liga (LL) away defeat against Barcelona at the weekend (2-0) left Almería loitering inside the bottom half of the LL table. On a three-game winning run in front of their own fans after scoring exactly three goals in each of those victories, they’ll therefore be pleased to be returning to Power Horse Stadium which is sure to play a key role in the newly promoted side’s survival ambitions.

Almería were leading 2-0 inside 20 minutes in two of those three victories, and the fact a whopping 67% (eight) of their home goals have been scored before half-time highlights how fast starts have been a recurring theme in home successes for coach Rubi’s side. Another multi-goal quick start would be welcome here given they’ve not scored more than a single goal in any of their last four competitive H2H clashes against Getafe (W2, D1, L1).

Getafe come into this contest one point above their hosts and unbeaten in five league matches, although their 0-0 draw last time out against Cádiz was the fourth stalemate within that run. Despite bolstering their front line with the likes of Borja Mayoral from Real Madrid in the summer, scoring goals has been an ongoing issue and that was the ninth game this season they’d failed to score more than a single strike, so it perhaps isn’t a huge shock that only two sides come into the round having scored fewer than their 12 goals.

The visitors have a decent away record on paper (W2, D2, L2), so could be backing themselves to get a positive result here. Manager Quique Sánchez Flores will be keen to remind his players to keep in control of their emotions in order to have the best chance to do so, particularly as Getafe have picked up a red card in four of their last six away league outings.

Players to watch: Almería’s El Bilal Touré has scored two first-half goals across his last three home league matches, and he will face Getafe midfielder Carles Alena who has picked up five yellow cards so far, no LL player has picked up more.

Hot stat: Almeria’s home games have produced the highest average number of first-half goals in the division (1.83).
