Almeria Real Sociedad prediction 2023-11-11

Almeria vs Real Sociedad prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2023-11-10 15:15.
One dozen rounds into the current La Liga (LL) season, Almería find themselves at the foot of the table with just three points to their name courtesy of a trio of draws and no victories (L9). Following a 1-0 loss to Alavés in their previous outing, they suffered the humiliation of recording the third-worst start in LL history in terms of points followed by goal difference. Perhaps most concerningly, new manager Gaizka Garitano has lost all three games in charge of the side.

That narrow loss to Alavés did suggest that Almería are showing some signs of life under Garitano, along with having gone two goals up against league leaders Girona before eventually being comprehensively beaten 5-2. His side then followed that up with losing 2-1 to Las Palmas only by way of conceding in the 94th minute, and beat fourth-tier CF Talavera to advance through the Copa del Rey.

The Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos will play host to a Real Sociedad side fresh from securing their place in the UEFA Champions League last 16, after beating Portugal's Benfica 3-1 during the week. Imanol Alguacil’s troops have now won four of their last six matches in all competitions (D1, L1), although that lone defeat was in their last LL outing, a 1-0 loss to league giants Barcelona.

They’ll now take their show back on the road hoping for more success and they should be confident of doing so, losing only to Atlético Madrid (twice) and Real Madrid (once) across their last 12 competitive away games (W6, D3, L3). That sound form, coupled with their hosts' appalling record, should aid Sociedad in taking charge of the evenly split H2H record (W4, D2, L4), whilst continuing their streak of always scoring at least once against Almería.

Players to watch: Sergio Arribas may be Almería’s biggest goal threat, since all four of the youngster’s strikes this season have come at home. Fellow 22-year-old Takefusa Kubo netted the opener and subsequent winner for Sociedad the last time these teams met, contributing to him scoring the match opener in all but one of his last six goalscoring outings for his club.

Hot stat: AlmerĂa lost each of their last six LL trips to teams from the Basque region.
