Andorra vs England prediction: EUROPE: World Championship – Qualification betting tips on match 2025-06-06 16:00.
[p]Never before have Andorra qualified for a major tournament, and after losing their opening two games of this World Cup qualification (WCQ) campaign for the 2026 edition, it’s hard to see that record tumbling any time soon. After losing their first two Group K games against Latvia and Albania respectively, the sight of England arriving certainly won’t be a pleasant one for the microstate.[/p]
[p]That’s largely because these two nations shared a qualification group for the last World Cup, and Andorra lost both H2Hs by a 9-0 aggregate scoreline. The 5-0 defeat they suffered in this corresponding fixture is their joint-largest at home from the 2014 WCQ campaign onwards, and with only three WCQ home wins in their history as a UEFA nation (D2, L27), the chances of an upset here seem remote. [/p]
[p]Anything other than a straightforward England win here would be a huge surprise, not least because the Three Lions have won all six H2Hs without conceding a single goal. England are still in the early stages of the Thomas Tuchel era, which got off to the perfect start back in March when they beat Albania and Latvia to open up their WCQ campaign, stretching their unbeaten run in these games to a whopping 33 matches (W25, D8). [/p]
[p]It’s hard to see any way in which that run isn’t extended here, and after thumping San Marino 10-0 in their last WCQ away game, they could bring up that number in style. England are typically untroubled in WCQ away action, keeping a clean sheet in nine of their last 11 such games, meaning they are almost certain to take the next step on the road to reaching an eighth successive World Cup finals. [/p]
[p]Players to watch: Andorra’s Marc Vales is just two caps shy of becoming an international centurion. He’s joint-second in the all-time Andorra scoring charts too (five), opening the scoring on three of his four international scoring appearances. Bukayo Saka scored home and away against Andorra in the last WCQ campaign, while seven of his nine England scoring appearances came in games his nation won without conceding. [/p]
[p]Hot stat: Only three of Andorra’s last 18 WCQ games saw both teams score. [/p]
