Andorra Kosovo prediction 2023-10-12

Andorra vs Kosovo prediction: EUROPE: Euro – Qualification betting tips on match 2023-10-11 18:45.
Mathematically speaking, rock-bottom Andorra still have the slimmest of chances of reaching their first-ever major tournament. But even if they win this upcoming game against Kosovo, it’s almost certainly set to be another fruitless campaign for the tiny microstate, who have tasted victory only once in a UEFA European Championship qualifying (ECQ) match in 66 previous outings (D3, L62), although that solitary win only came relatively recently, four years ago against Moldova.

They did draw their last home match (0-0 vs Belarus) in this competition and the Andorran defence has generally been holding up much better than in past qualification campaigns. Yet to concede more than three goals in a game, coach Koldo Álvarez and his team are on course to record just their second-ever qualifying campaign, whether for the Euros or the FIFA World Cup, of keeping the opposition to three goals or less, since Álvarez himself was in goal for the Tricolours during the 2004 ECQ cycle!

The situation is similarly precarious for Kosovo, who sit just one place and two points above Andorra and know that nothing less than a win will realistically do if they are to maintain their hopes of reaching a maiden Euros. Despite disappointingly failing to beat their upcoming opponents in the reverse fixture in March, the Dardanians will fancy their chances of picking up three points at the Estadi Nacional, where the hosts have failed to win any of their last four matches (D2, L2).

If Kosovo were to emerge victorious, it would be just their second-ever ECQ away win, having memorably beaten Bulgaria 3-2 in the summer of 2019. However, the Balkan nation hasn't picked up a victory in any format since September 2022 (D6, L2), while also failing to win any of its last five qualifiers in any competition as the designated away team.

Players to watch: Youngster Albert Rosas has scored two of Andorra’s three goals in 2024 ECQ to date, including an equaliser in the country’s only score draw in this qualifying campaign in Kosovo. Edon Zhegrova bagged the opener for the hosts that day and will be aiming to continue his positive recent club form, which saw him directly contribute to a goal in each of his last two outings for Lille (G1, A1).

Hot stat: Ten of the last 11 goals scored by Kosovo have come in the second half.
