Angers vs Monaco prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-03-14 18:00.
[p]March has got off to a terrible start for Angers, who lost each of their two games so far this month by a 6-0 aggregate scoreline. Their chances of Ligue 1 survival still look promising when considering that they are six points above the bottom three, but the Black and Whites will want to stop the rot sooner rather than later to avoid getting sucked deep into the battle. [/p]
[p]It’s therefore not an opportune time to face high-flying Monaco, although Angers’ 1-0 win in the reverse fixture puts them on course for their first H2H league double since 1957/58! To give themselves a great chance of achieving that objective, Alexandre Dujeux’s men must look to keep a clean sheet at home, something that they have done only twice since earning promotion back to Ligue 1 last summer.[/p]
[p]Despite entering this match as firm favourites, Monaco’s form has been patchy, with Adi Hütter’s side suffering elimination at the hands of Benfica in the UEFA Champions League before winning just one of their three subsequent league fixtures (D1, L1). The latest of those games saw them squander a 1-0 lead late on at Toulouse (D 1-1) which saw their grip on a top-four spot loosened. [/p]
[p]Confidence should still be high before travelling here though, as Monaco haven’t lost any of their last seven trips to Angers (W5, D2), keeping clean sheets in four of those games. That record is in stark contrast to their current away form in Ligue 1, as the principality outfit have not won any of their last seven such matches in the competition (D3, L4) – their worst run on the road in the top flight since between April and October 2019. [/p]
[p]Key battle: Former Monaco man Jean-Eudes Aholou delivered the match winner for Angers in the reverse fixture, but has picked up four yellow cards in his last five appearances. The Ivorian may have to keep tabs here on the in-form Takumi Minamino, who has registered six goal involvements in his last five games (G4, A2), with his four goals scored in that period all coming before half-time. [/p]
[p]Hot stat: None of Monaco’s league matches in 2025 were goalless at the break. [/p]
